Habitat and Music

Gregory, as you get older I hope you always appreciate music and giving of your time to others. This spring we have been so busy with wonderful opportunities and I sometimes wonder how much has sunk in. You've got a memory like an elephant, so I know at least part of what we have done has...for example, every time we see Begonia's, you remind me about planting those at the "poor people's house".  You did work hard that day, shoveling dirt, laying sod and planting flowers. Matt, Daddy, Jackson Larance and I all enjoyed working with you on the Cooper Habitat for Humanity House.

On Papa's 61st birthday (May 21) you sang, danced, and played the kazoo at your end of the year music performance with Ms. Mary. We really enjoyed watching you sing, "Hounddog" and "Doe, A Deer"! I especially like this picture with the kazoos because you are watching Ms. Mary while standing next to Ella and close to your friend, Liam.
 You are my sunshine!

Down on the Farm

Back in late March, G. had the chance to attend his soccer buddy, Travis' birthday party.
All the kids got to pick strawberries, care for the animals, and eat fried chicken. What a great party!

Philadelphia Phillies

At the Y this past Saturday, Gregory had his first t-ball game. He could not get enough! 8 of the 12 kids on his team are in his preschool class which makes this season extra special.
Here he is with Michael C. (the coach's son) talking over some game plan strategy. Ha!

G. up at bad with dad watching.

The Terrific Team! Coach Christy, Henry H., Emily H., Madison C., Lauren, Jack C., Isaac, Michael, Molly, Gregory and Hayden!
 G. and one of his favorite friends, Jack
And his biggest fan, mom.

Mo Trippin

Back in late March when Grams passed away we had the chance to visit our family in Wichita and Oregon, MO.  While we only had one day in Wichita, we had a very nice time playing at a park with Nana and Mema.

This picture of Gregory and Addison cracks me up! During the viewing, Addison kept busy watching Strawberry Shortcake. G. did quite well, although I don't think he was as excited by the movie selection.
That same evening when we made it back to Aunt Guinnie's in Oregon, it started to snow. G had never seen flakes so big, nor had he seen actual white stuff stick to the ground. He couldn't eat enough of it!
And what do you know? It was still there in the morning! Actually, he asks me at least once a week if that snow is still there. Snow is a foreign concept to most Houstonians...

Cousin Clayton was our driver on the way up to Missouri from Texas. He would only make one stop, so I begged him for the best. Here we are on a quick tour of KU
