Alan has been working on many house projects, recently pulling up all the hard-wood laminate flooring from the first floor...so the other day when he was showing me something he wants to work on next, Gregory hopped up on his fountain and started performing ABC's for the neighborhood. I'm afraid that he thinks he's a rock star!
Earlier that day we had toured this gorgeous home and G. wanted to take a picture. Even though I'm not fond of myself being on the blog, I decided to include this one for you, mom.

Our Library
We have gone to the library at least twice a week this summer. Gregory and I have both joined, and completed, the summer reading programs and they offer great story times and awesome programs.
This Tuesday's program was the best. It was called Strum and Drum and taught the kids about rhythm and melody. We met my coworkers, Lindsay (Dylan & Grayson), Amanda (Savannah & Baby Raleigh), and Shannon (Liam & Reagan) and had a great time watching the presentation and banging on the drums. I am so fortunate to work with such fun people!

Odds and ends
Last week we started watching the Wiese's ten year old dog, Oreo. She is very sweet and Gregory really likes her because she sleeps next to his bed. Check out the stylin outfit...
In addition to soccer, G. has also started swimming lessons with our good friend, Suze White. She is an amazing instructor and G. just loves to float on his back and blow bubbles for her.
When we aren't at some kind of class, story time, spending time with friends or shopping, G. enjoys eating watermelon in the swimming pool (and inflatable canoe) out in the front yard. The dogs seem to like this too as they get to snoop around the neighbors' yards and play in the sprinkler.
It's the simple things which make us most happy...

Vacation Bible School
Gregory had a wonderful time this week "Down on the Farm" at Vacation Bible School!
G. got lucky had had his good friend, Savannah Smith, in the piggies class!
On Monday they had introductions, on Tuesday there was a petting zoo, Wednesday was a pool party complete with Popsicles, and today they had a farmers market where they got to "purchase" fruit with fake money! Most importantly, Gregory has talked more about Jesus and has prayed more than ever.
Thank You, Jesus, for this special week.
