Pseudo Vacation

G and I were lucky to "vacation" at the Campbell's home eight miles away for the past week. Their home is the perfect place for a boy. There's a lake with ducks that like to be fed...

A Swimming Pool with a dog who like so swim (Sammi) and many, many, many acorns to be collected along the circle drive. G. spent at least an hour collecting the nuts into a pile which he told me was an ice cream cone. Ok, so I would probably prefer a week at the beach but where else could we have gone without the hassle of travelling where G. could ride his scooter around for hours without seeing a car?

Up from San Antone

Last Week G took his mommy and daddy to San Antonio so his mom could attend an AP conference. He picked out his own room at the Grand Hyatt...making sure he had a good view of cars, cars, and more cars (police cars, taxi's, big cars, white cars, you get the picture)...
Daddy & G. went swimming and ate lots of fruit while mommy was in class. When she wasn't in class, we took a tour of the River Walk and visited the Children's Museum. If you look closely, you'll see that G. is surrounded by one giant bubble!

The best part of the museum happened to be the toys that mimicked machinery!

Wichita

Last week Gregory and mommy got to take a fun little trip to Wichita to see those people we love, but don't get to see very often. Here we are with Mema, Nana and John Wayne! (Can you believe JW is 10?!)
We went to all of mommy's favorite places, too, like the zoo, Da Fazio's, Botanica, and La Gallette.

G got to attend a "Garden Wigglers" class at Botanica (here he is making a beaded worm) and was introduced to one of his new favorite foods, "candy worms"! .................................................a Redwood Tree!

On Monday morning, Grandma Joan took off work so that she and Pa Pa could play "go's" with G. Check out this ramp they had set up for the kid! He had a lot of fun exploring their land and playing with the cars!

Thank you, Nana, Mema, Pa Pa, and Grandma Joan for making our trip so special!
